According to Napoleon what did the animals have to do?
Napolean wanted the animals to listen to him to be against the windmill idea that Snowball had suggested and planned out. He wanted to practice the arms.
Why were the animals on the farm terrified?
The animals on the farm were terrified because they were caught unexpectedly and had no idea what was going on. They had little knowledge.
Do you think Snowball is really as smart as they make him sound in the book?
I think he may be smart but he is no where near done. If they got this far on their own, there should be something said about his intelligence.
Why do you think Snowball and Napoleon are against each other?
They are against each other because they have different beliefs.
How did Mollie feel in the beginning of Chapter 5?
She was excusing herself from time to time and eventually betrayed the whole farm by becoming a human's animal.
Are the animals well educated?
Only a few are, like the pigs and etc, but their learning is in progress.
How was Snowball a bad influence?
Snowball was supposbly a bad influence because he is using the same methods of what a human would do. He is using a windmill mechanism to help the animals, and that is human device, technology.
Why do only the pigs decide the rules? Is that right?
The pigs decide the rules because they have the most knowledge.
Some animals rejected the windmill idea! Why?
They believe it is part of human technology.
Do you think the windmill idea was the right way to solve the debate? Why or why not?
It probably was because eventually, they are making a government and not noticing it at all, therefore, they will increase their methods and they will become similarly as to what a basic human would do.
Napoleon is very well respected by all the animals; why do you think he gets so much respect?
He gets respect because he wants to follow the basic rules they had planned from the start.
Which animals began to not take responsibilty for the jobs they were given?
Mollie began to be the first and the wandering cat was just a freeloader.
Does Mollie really care for the freedom or would she rather be taken care of by humans? Support your answer.
She's very self-centered, She cares mostly about herself and thats about it. She was being pressured and then bribed.
Do you think the animals should've all gathered and confront Mollie?
Yes they have, they could have at least find out what was happening with her. The most they could have done was confront her.
Were you shocked about Snowball's expulsion?
I was shocked because it happened unexpectedly.
What do you think about Napoleon's maxim? Why?
I rather go with Snowball's ideas and basically I would be on Snowball's side so I don't really like Napoleon as much and I can't give him a positive impression.
