| The Parrot, one of the smartest animals in the entire world Like the parrot I am also a very smart person They may seem like dumb annoying birds, Yet there are huge exceptions such as parrots that know how to interact Their feathers tell a story and represent their culture from South America My face, hair, and religion all represent myself like this beautiful bird Parrots interact with humans, Its surprising how smart and how much they can learn A parrot represents who I am And the roots where I come from | |

| Silent but wise Great sense of pride Over-seeing And all knowing Just like the owl Impartial at times Nevertheless curious eyes Gentle and calm And ever so mysterious Oh, how I can relate Upon the tree branch They observe And whenever the time is right They fly down from that branch And intercede Through the owl’s glossy eyes I see a reflection of me And I know that I’m like the owl In more ways Than I can imagine And as quiet as they may seem They’re emotions are quite like the rest Which makes me see The owl and I are not so different But yet we are | |

| I Am A Parrot
I am not like the other million I can camouflage like a chameleon But do not be alarmed, I am not dull, My feathers will tell you so. The colors of my feathers make me unique, They hold in me that pure and sincere sense of mystique. I am vivid in looks and more so in persona. I can chatter like no other, But do not worry I am no bother. I can fly! And be sure I am not fearful if I die while I try. I will hover up,and then down, And then, all around. But i will find my way, And if I can say why I may, I sure would tell why I am willing to fly, To reach every height, To lighten a day with a touch of my light. I will not bore you with worries, I will sing them away With a loud chirp and lots of dismay. But do not forget I can explore the expanse of the sky, Be sure this is not a farewell or goodbye.
